As a Principal Engineer in the NetApp’s Cloud Platforms organization, you will be responsible for leading and executing our most challenging and complex projects. You will be responsible for decomposing complex problems into simple solutions, understanding system interdependencies and limitations, and possessing expert knowledge in storage management (Ex: ONTAP), cloud architectures, performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, engineering best practices, and testing methods.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will also be responsible partnering with technical and product leaders of all major cloud provider, mentoring and developing others, influencing internal multiple NetApp teams, and making key technical decisions. You will be a key player in helping NetApp stay ahead of the curve and deliver innovative solutions to our customers.
You are expected to have a strong technical point of view and work with our internal and external partners and earn their trust with empathy. Your ability to communicate clearly with the top leaders of multiple high-profile companies and ability to use data to defend your decisions will be crucial for this role.

o Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required (Computer science preferred) and/or, relevant experience.
o 10+ years of experience in commercial software development (Non-internship)

The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is $195,300- $302,500. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws, Company bonus/commission, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s).
