Job Description:
DXC Technology is looking for Data Engineer with experience in Databricks & AWS to join Analytics Service Line.
DXC Analytics is focused on providing customers innovative solutions and high added value, in the following areas: Analytics Solutions and Services, Big Data Platforms, Information Governance, Business Intelligence & Data Management, Artificial Intelligence and IoT Analytics.
Job responsibilities:
- Delivers technical solutions to customers using Functional/Technical skills, building a trusted relationship with key users
- Gather requirements and write high quality technical documents
- Works under supervision of technical lead and with customer nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks
- Participates as part of a team and maintains good relationships with team members and customers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Computer engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Mathematics
- Knowledge on Big Data / Data Warehouse/Solution Design / Test Case Design
- 3-10 years of experience developing ETL process, performing data manipulation and data analysis
- Technical Skill:
- AWS Data Platform: nice to have Redshift /S3
- One or more of the following items:
- Glue
- EMR/Spark
- PySpark
- Postgres
- Redshift
- RDS
- Athena
- Databricks
- Proficiency in SQL and strong knowledge / practice in at least one procedural language (preferably Python, or Scala, Java, etc.
- Knowledge of devops-oriented processes and tools will be considered a nice-to-have further value
- CloudFormation / CDK
- Commit / Build / Pipelines
- Business problem solving, critical thinking and information analysis
- Attitude to modelling and understanding of the data and the client’s business
- Proactivity and ability to work in teams
- Focus on the goals
- Attention to details and constant attention to quality
- Proficient English (both oral and written)
- Availability to travel
