Basic Requirements:

  • You should have strong communication skills and fluency in English, both written and verbal (Dutch is not a requirement except CTI but other languages are a plus)
  • You are enrolled at a university for at least 50% study load for the duration of the internship.
  • NOTE: EU working rights are required (Either you have EU Citizenship, you are studying in the Netherlands or have relevant student work visa)

Culinary

You will be part of the R&D International Culinary team based in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. You’ll be working in a high performing and passionate team of chefs from different backgrounds and nationalities, all with strong culinary expertise in their field. As a Culinary Innovation intern, you will be a part of the impact of translating chefs expertise and creativity to unlock strong business value. As an integrated team member, we welcome you to take part in activities that are inherent to the role of a Culinary Development Chef and also collaborate with other specialties in cross-functional teams, which will give you a real feel for the company and the business. Get ready for a lot of exposure to internal stakeholders that will help you establish a solid network and a world where love for food is at the core of everything.

Assignments and key activities:

  • You will be responsible for developing a robust portfolio of host food content, leveraging our core portfolio of Taste Elevation products.
  • You will work across multiple levels of the innovation process: from trend analysis, ideation, recipe development to content activation. 
  • You will collaborate with our Consumer Insights and Nutrition teams to deliver a holistic and future-proof impact. 
  • Distilling different streams of data into workable development cues
  • Understanding correlation between traditional and trending cuisine
  • Testing and exploring the versatility of our core products in-application
  • Create, test and document new recipes, in line with development cues
  • Design and finetune recipe output to stakeholder needs
  • Food styling & photography of prepared recipes
  • Host interactive (online) sessions to inspire and create awareness within the business

Specific Team Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master student in Food (eg. Technology, Design, Innovation), Culinary, Chef or related field
  • Great passion for food and cooking 
  • Advanced culinary skills (restaurant, catering work experience and/or culinary degree)
  • You are a curious and enthusiastic person, with commercial sense and able to work in different roles on a team.
  • Strong English verbal and writing skills (level C1/C2, Native speaker)
  • Food photography and digital content editing skills are a big pre, but not a requirement
