SUMMARY Responsible for operational trade support and client service for the sales and trading teams. Focuses on the day-to-day processing of trades from the point of bookout and allocation, through to settlement and reconciliation of accounts. Serves on large and / or complex projects. Supports Team Manager in ensuring operational efficiency, focuses on the day-to[1] day operation of the department. Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and / or internal business impact. MAJOR DUTIES · Books out / allocate all equity and convertible bond transactions to the relevant client accounts, and manages · confirmation process with client via either CTM or manual email confirmation. Deals with any queries / issues with · confirmations in a timely fashion, liaising with sales traders if necessary to resolve. · Maintenance of Client Static data, including confirmation set up, commission rates in various markets, sub-account · setup, booking preferences per market and client SSI's. · Matching and Settlement. Closely monitors both market-side and client side trade matching and settlement, resolving · issues with clients and execution brokers,fixing mismatches and ensuring that settlement rates remain as close to 100% · as possible in all markets. Commercial awareness of positions likely to incur debit interest is key to management of · settlement risk, as well as an awareness of sensitive clients or high-value trades. · Manages the Account Opening process, liaising with the new client, our compliance team, sales trader and operations · colleagues to ensure correct process is followed in a timely manner. · Reconciliation and Position Management - ensures that as an agency broker, all of our accounts are flat of position and · PandL at EOD, and that any error positions are documented and accounted for in accordance with regulations. This is a · key risk management tool for the firm. · Responsible for Day-to Day Relationship Management with Third-party Vendors, most importantly with our clearing · broker. · Acts as an expert on trade flows between systems, third-party vendors and our clearer, resolving communication issues · between systems, liaising with IT and providing guidance. KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS · Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. · Functional / Industry Knowledge is required. · Analytical and problem solving skills are required. · Be able to work as part of a team with minimal supervision. · Accuracy and attention to detail are critical. Must have good project management and communication skills and have strong working knowledge of the firm, the industry and technology. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED • FINRA Securities Industry Essentials® (SIE®) Exam, Series 7TO (Top-Off) and Series 63 are required (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire). • A College or University degree and / or relevant work experience is required.
