Senior Manager - Engineering Leader - 008O2Z

This position will oversee a multi-disciplined engineering team within our GECT India organization that provides engineering support for the SEE Electrical Business Transformation Project. This role will work closely with the NAM Technology, Automation and Data Analytics team to support project deliverables related to the ECAD for NAM and Wiring Simplification Projects. The position will also lead support teams for other lines of business related to R&D ECAD activities.

The identified candidate will be a critical member of a cross-functional team that provides general management and direction to an engineering organization and ensues all project milestones and performance metrics are achieved. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for people management including resource planning, hiring, training, goal setting, performance management, competency development, recognition, engagement, and well-being.
  • Organize project deliverables according to the project plan and ensure timely completion.
  • Operational cost management and reporting.
  • Manage the Load/capacity of the team and develop versatility in it.
  • Ensure technical quality and service levels are maintained throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • Define training according to skill matrix and competencies targets.
  • Ensure compliance with project objectives are maintained within our product definition file and design intent.
  • Continuous improvement of the design activity in terms of technical knowledge, efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Ensure overall customer satisfaction and quality is delivered for both our internal and external customers.
  • Leads change activity to improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction with successful change management.

This job might be for you if you:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree or higher education (required).
  • Have 5+ years of direct engineering experience with NAM ETO equipment and minimum of 3yrs of demonstrated leadership/people management skills.
  • Proven skill sets in the Design of switchgear & Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of LV and MV equipment and product offers.
  • Direct experience with SEE Electrical and/or EPlan knowledge is plus.
  • Knowledge of electrical standards IEC, ANSI, UL, NEMA, IEEE, etc
  • Desire upward mobility and to grow your career within Schneider Electric.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders (internal and external), leadership and employees.
  • Flexible and have the proven ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Have strong mediation, negotiation, and facilitation skills.

Qualifications

Qualification & Experience:

BE/B.Tech/Masters in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.10+ years experience.
