Job Description

What you’ll do: 

As a Technical Delivery Manager, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of cross-channel execution and data management. You’ll work with and manage technology platforms & vendors, and collaborate with internal and external teams to maximize efficiencies within marketing programs. 

Day-to-day, your role includes:

  • Handling and oversight of cross-channel execution and data management as it relates to marketing communications including email, SMS, and mobile (and web)
  • Performing list and data management activities within various marketing automation technology platforms
  • Identifying, providing input and creating solutions for proper marketing automation programs to meet client needs
  • Creating test lists and test cases; conducting QC of test cases and live data
  • Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of email marketing best practices, email databases, segmentation and matrix development
  • Managing required service vendors for data-related functions and quality assurance control by designing and utilizing optimized output reports
  • Analyzing, formatting and distributing all vendor-supplied operational reports
  • Mentoring junior employees and teaching them new functions and skills
  • Contributing to thought leadership / intellectual capital through creation of case studies, vendor partner experience, program optimization, etc.
  • Assisting with the development and growth of alliances with technology vendor partners
  • Working with cross-capability teams to bring operational view to consultative projects

Qualifications

We’re looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:

  • A four-year degree and 7 to 9 years of experience in a direct marketing environment with data-oriented responsibility (preferably at a marketing agency)
  • Knowledge of cross channel execution (email, SMS, direct mail) and best practices including data security requirements, CAN SPAM compliance, etc.
  • Knowledge of the email marketing landscape, including Email Service Providers, Marketing Clouds, Marketing Automation platforms, and niche solutions providers
  • Familiarity with CRM, direct marketing channels and marketing automation solutions
  • Proficiency working in an enterprise-level Marketing Automation tool (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Oracle Responsys, Oracle Eloqua, Adobe Campaign, SAP Hybris) or experience managing an CRM/ESP relationship
  • Any additional certifications, such as PMP, ITIL, Agile, or those related to Salesforce or Adobe would be considered a bonus.
  • Familiarity with SQL, experience using data analysis tools like Excel or Tableau, and exposure to scripting languages like JavaScript or Python would be beneficial.
  • Strong ability to instruct, coordinate and manage vendors in fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated aptitude and interest in process management to create workflow and campaign execution efficiencies
  • Detail oriented, organized, and a master multi-tasker
  • Strong written and communication skills – you’re articulate and poised
  • Excellent project management skills – you keep pace in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to work independently and with large cross departmental teams
