Overview

Nortal invites Hardware Engineer for long-term and full-time employment at our service center in Krakow, Poland.

You will join an extension team of our client – Besix, the leading player in the world of infrastructure and automation. The company originated from the merger of Van den Berg, specialized in the construction and maintenance of energy and data networks, and Agidens Infra Automation, market leader in automation of infrastructure projects.

Since 2022, they have continued this unique growth story together under the name BESIX Unitec, a union of the most innovative techniques and technologies within the BESIX Group.

As a Hardware Engineer you will contribute to the automation of movable bridges, locks and tunnels. You will be involved in different phases of the project in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• You draw up conceptual hardware documents in accordance with the standards and applicable regulations regarding electricity;
• You convert technical concepts into workable solutions for the customer and follow the internally drawn up procedures;
• You take care of drawing up all the necessary documentation for the (internal) customer, more specifically the hardware typicals, test protocols, reports and manuals;
• You develop material specifications based on available standards and, if necessary, you request quotations for materials and make a correct comparison;
• In collaboration with the project leader and the customer, you come to solutions based on the requirements package or the requested specifications;
• You provide support and supervision to the design team in making electrical diagrams;
• Upon commissioning and delivery of the projects, you participate in the internal and external tests and document them.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in a relevant field: Electromechanics, automation, ...
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
• You have a passion for electricity, with an interest in mechanics and hydraulics
• Knowledge of Eplan, CAD and Caneco is a great asset
• You work independently and like to take initiative
• You are strong in communication and have a flexible mindset
