The Ramadi Lab for Advanced Neuroengineering and Translational Medicine develops innovative approaches for the modulation of neural activity throughout the body. We combine mechanical, electrical, materials, and bio-engineering toolkits towards designing minimally invasive technologies for neuromodulation. Our projects are translational in nature and are focused on addressing a specific need in clinical care. Our goal is to develop novel diagnostics and therapies for neurologic, metabolic, and immune disorders using technologies such as implantable microdevices, nanoparticles, and electroceuticals.
The Research assistant will contribute to and support primary research efforts, including data collection and analysis, project management, training new lab members, purchasing equipment and consumables, and manuscript preparation.
Responsibilities:
Primarily managing project and lab logistics, together with some data collection and grant and manuscript writing. Moderate autonomy, most decisions will involve PI. Will be self-motivated and capable of problem-solving readily and independently. has good familiarity with a variety of laboratory equipment.
The candidate will also work on individualized research projects under the supervision of the faculty during the duration of his/her tenure.
