QA at Genesys is strongly connected with wall-to-wall CI/CD and test automation, and this is a fact not a promise. We believe in total test automation over endless manual regression cycles, the right tools and integration over the fragmented processes and the fly-in-formation collaboration over the separated silos.

The team is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Software Test Engineer, who will be a key participant in creating a Quality First culture, develop, troubleshoot, test and debug software components and test automation projects of moderate scope and complexity. The role shares responsibility for planning and implementation with team members and assumes increasing responsibility as a solid technical contributor in a group; applies understanding of how test automation projects get developed, utilized, and maintained, how projects are planned and executed, and how systems engineering is done. The role may work on technical solutions in a particular area of specialty.

As a Senior Software Developer in Test, you will join to team Evergreen, where you will have the opportunity to collaborative global team of like-minded people who thrive on technical problem-solving and relish design challenges. Working in an agile team environment, with capabilities to deliver full landscape of testing. 

Minimum qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on developing and executing automated testing scripts by Selenium WebDriver with Java
• 5+ years of experience in QA in an agile software organization
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control merge management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Ability to design and implement integration test cases and acceptance tests at the API and UI level for Web-based applications.

• Excellent oral and written communication with effective presentation skills including possessing a dynamic and "can do" attitude.
• Good time management skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services such as EC2 and S3
• Programming in Python

What you will do:

• As a Senior SDET, you will work with the development and program management teams to define, develop, and execute test cases that will allow us to perform validation targeting the hardening of our software and its components.
• Under peer review, designs, documents, develops, and executes reusable and maintainable automated scripts and functional and system-level testing to verify the functionality, accuracy, and efficiency of software changes across various platforms.
• Establishes and maintains thorough and accurate documentation of all work; may assist with technical specification documentation and review.
• Conducts smaller development projects independently; performs specific portions of broader projects managed by a supervisor. 
• Participates in feature planning and represents quality aspect with a strong quality mindset.
• Mentor others on best practices for test automation, CI/CD
