Dr. Ebrahimi-Nik’s Laboratory, situated within the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC) and the Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology (PIIO), is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher in cancer immunology and immunotherapy.

Our laboratory is devoted to unraveling the complex interactions between immune cells and tumor cells, with a particular focus on elucidating the functional dynamics of CD8 T cells that demonstrate tumor-rejecting capabilities. We are dedicated to comprehending the multifaceted factors that contribute to the persistence and efficacy of tumor rejecting CD8 T cells within the suppressive environment of the tumor.

Duties and responsibilities:

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will lead a project focused on the anergic/tolerance status of tumor specific CD8 T cells and their functionality in various tumor microenvironments using a range of immunology approaches on tumor models, including single cell RNA sequencing paired with TCR, western blot on rare cells, immunofluorescent staining, and other functional experiments. Requirements:

  • The candidate should either hold a PhD in Immunology, Biology, Immunobiology, or related fields.
  • Having a background in biochemistry, bioinformatics, or computational work would be beneficial.

  • The candidate should feel comfortable in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
