Provides technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems.

Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Reports design, reliability, and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering. May be involved in customer installation and training.

Provides support to customers/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.

Objective / Purpose of duty:

To shoulder responsibility of MS in areas of virtual storage/SAN management.

Job Requirement:

  • Candidate should have 5 years of experience in Vcenter operations Manager , ESXi, VMware vRealize suite, VMware SRM, Storage.
  • Should have Good knowledge of VSAN, Storage SAN and NAS, Unified with FC, ISCSI, NFS protocols.
  • Configuring Alarm and monitoring parameters in Vcenter.
  • Verifying VMWare server configuration.
  • Configuring VMWare for High Availability.
  • Vmware Version upgrade and patch management.
  • Creation & Modification of resource pool and any change in its configuration.
  • Preparation of RCA for Major Incidents.
  • Performance tuning suggest by OEM.
  • Capacity planning and Configuring VMWare Performance.
  • Should have hands on knowledge of OS like Windows 2008/2012, RHEL, SUSE etc.
  • Should have strong knowledge of DHCP, DNS, Active Directory.
  • VCP5.5 / VCP5.5 / VCP6 or VCP-DTM Certification desired.
  • Should have good understanding of ITIL process.
  • Should have knowledge of Business continuity mechanism and SLA's.
  • Risk Analysis and Providing mitigation planning.
  • Planning and execution of DR Drills based on availability of DR setup and recovery procedures.

Qualification: Diploma / Any Graduate / Engg

Desired Experience:

7-8 years’ IT experience into virtual cloud management

Certification - VCE/VCP/DCV Certification

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

Must be a pleasing personality with effective spoken and written communication in English and well in documentation. Must be good team player.
