Tetra Tech was awarded the USAID Sustainable Energy for Indonesia's Advancing Resilience (SINAR) project from January 2021 to January 2026. SINAR seeks to advance Indonesia's development goals in expanding reliable and equitable energy services necessary for sustainable development and inclusive economic growth. To achieve this goal, SINAR will focus on the following areas: 1) Accelerating deployment of advanced energy technologies, 2) Improving performance of energy utilities, 3) Applying procurement best practices, and 4) Establishing an institutional framework and capacity for energy sector transformation. 

By achieving this goal, USAID will contribute to Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals and 2020-2024 National Medium Term Development Plan. 

Position summary & job purpose: 

Tetra Tech has an opportunity for an experienced Monitoring, Evaluation, and Event Officer to support the SINAR project. The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Event Officer will assist the Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Manager support all SINAR’s event logistics and coordination; the consolidation and coordination of relevant program implementation and document administration for all SINAR activities; and facilitate public outreach and knowledge dissemination events with counterparts to promote SINAR program activity and results. Learn more about the SINAR project here.

Position responsibilities:

Monitoring, Evaluation and Event

  • Support data collection related to Activity, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Plan.
  • Support event preparation, implementation, and data collection (including preparation of administration documents, equipment, hybrid set-up, attendance list, presentation material, etc).
  • Assist in advancing the progress of all project events to guarantee their execution adheres to the allocated schedule.

Strategic Programs

  • Assist data collection and storage to ensure that all output documents and deliverables are complete and in compliance to the handover certificate (Berita Acara Serah Terima or BAST).
  • Assist in advancing the progress of all project activities to guarantee their execution adheres to the allocated schedule.

Deliverables

  • Collection of event documents.
  • Collection of data project results.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in the development sector (preferably the renewable energy sector).
  • Willingness to travel to project locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Indonesian national or current resident of Indonesia
  • Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English (reading, writing, and oral presentation)
  • Familiarity with USAID and Indonesian government bilateral cooperation policy and implementation procedures. 
  • Excellent writing skills in English and Indonesian.
  • Excellent skills in hybrid events such as workshops, trainings, focus groups discussions, meetings, etc.
  • Excellent skills in data management and activity tracking.
  • Good understanding of knowledge management, renewable energy, gender issues.
