About the Team

We're currently looking for a policy communications professional to join our fast-paced global communications team. In this role, you will develop communications strategies to help advance our public policy objectives in the region. We're looking for someone with a passion for tech policy and a proven ability to easily distill and communicate complex legislative, regulatory, political, and crisis issues. The ideal candidate will have strong media relations skills and be comfortable speaking with the media in various scenarios. You have a strong judgment and grasp of the political landscape in the region as it relates to both challenges and opportunities for technology companies. You are able to make sound decisions and move fast under pressure. You also know how to build consensus around new ideas and achieve alignment among internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver strategic communications plans and programs that advance the company's public policy priorities, including reactive and proactive communications and outreach.
• Support strategies for engaging with and educating policymakers around issues important to our community.
• Build and maintain relationships with the media.
• Prepare spokespeople for media interviews, regulatory meetings, and public appearances.
• Work in close collaboration with public policy and legal teams, in particular, providing communications counsel and support, to ensure message accuracy and consistency.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the political landscape in the region
• Strong strategic, analytical, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure; motivated in a fast-paced environment
• Deep understanding of and passion for tech policy
• Established relationships with regional media
