As a developer on our eCommerce Marketing team you will deliver customer-facing solutions using modern technologies in our rapidly evolving products. You will develop solutions built for sustainability and performance, and will improve the architecture to handle our growing customer base. You will collaborate closely with product managers, testers and other developers to design, test, code, deliver and support software within an Agile Scrum environment via architecture built on a cloud infrastructure. Marketing Technology products and applications are integral parts of the online shopping experience for Crate and Barrel and CB2 customers.

This position is fully Remote.

Responsibilities

A day in the life as a Developer…

  • Designing and developing business functionality in Data Transformation projects
  • Designing and developing business functionality in multi-tier solutions using Python while improving code quality and infrastructure
  • Building scalable, unit testable solutions for our applications and conducting code reviews
  • Working across all phases of the software development lifecycle (planning, design, implementation, deployment, operations and support)
  • Working on a cross-disciplinary Agile team to understand requirements;Executing backlog grooming, sprint planning, execution, and retrospective
  • Communicating effectively and efficiently with all associates and business contacts and promote a strong sense of teamwork
  • Optimizing website speed and performance

What you’ll bring to the table… 

  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with Google BigQuery and relational databases like SQLServer
  • Experience in HTML and Javascript. Javascript framework experience (e.g. ReactJS, AngularJS) 
  • C#, ASP.NET, .NET 5/6/7; Visual Studio / Code is a plus
  • Familiarity with GCP 
  • Understanding of best practices in using remote resources
  • Proficient in using built-in browser tools like Chrome Developer Tools
  • Practical understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
  • Experience with Unit Test frameworks like MSTest, NUnit, PyUnit and Jest and mocking frameworks like Moq
  • Prototyping and discovery experience
  • Great communication skills with teammates and business partners

We’d love to hear from you if you have… 

  • 2 years of BigQuery development, Python development, ASP.NET MVC development, Web development using Javascript and HTML. A focus on eCommerce solutions is a plus.
  • SalesForce Solutioning and Development
  • Experience with Git for source control. BitBucket experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience
