Our daily work has an immediate impact on our customers' shopping experience and a direct impact on the company's revenue. As the team responsible for the placement of orders by our customers on our website. Current initiatives are to provide customers with accurate, real-time product availability and lead time information. The team is also focusing on modernizing the web platform to be more scalable and resilient, in order to support our growing business.

This position is fully Remote.

Responsibilities

A day in the life as a Lead Developer…

  • Designing and developing business functionality in multi-tier web solutions while improving code quality and infrastructure
  • Building scalable, unit testable solutions for our website applications and do code reviews
  • Championing culture of good security, coding standards, architecture patterns, resiliency, and documentation practices
  • Working across all phases of the software development lifecycle (planning, design, implementation, deployment, operations and support)
  • Leading a cross-disciplinary Agile team 
  • Mentoring and coaching other developers, onshore and offshore
  • Optimizing website speed / performance and enhancing SEO

What you’ll bring to the table… 

  • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET (MVC and WebForms), HTML, Javascript, and Visual Studio / Code.
  • Database experience - SQLServer, NoSQL experience a plus
  • Proficiency in Javascript framework experience (e.g. ReactJS, AngularJS, Node.js, jQuery)
  • Experienced with JIRA and BitBucket/Git for source control
  • Strong in Domain-Driven Design, Dependency Injection, caching strategies
  • Proficient in using built-in browser tools like Chrome Developer Tools

We’d love to hear from you if you have… 

  • 8+ years of .NET MVC web development with a preferred focus on retail eCommerce solutions
  • 5+ years with relational databases
  • 3+ years leading development team(s) and working under Agile scrum framework
  • Expereince with Cloud first architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Log aggregators (SumoLogic, Splunk)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience
  • Strong communication skills
