The Joint and Sports Medicine Orthopedics clinic is looking for a passionate and personable Medical Assistant!

  • $1500 Sign On Bonus offered to external applicants!***

About the Position:

  • You will be a part of the sports medicine and orthopedics team working with MAs, RNs, Athletic Trainers, and our orthopedic physicians and surgeons.
  • In addition to the typical MA duties you will also assist with surgery scheduling, prior authorizations, MRI authorizations, suture removal, and potentially casting and cast removal.
  • An ideal candidate would have an interest in sports medicine and orthopedics, is a quick learner, has an easy going personality, and is a flexible team player willing to jump in on whatever is needed to be done.

Work Schedule:

This position will work Monday – Friday, typically 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Location:

6165 W. Emerald St. Boise, near the Regional Medical Center campus (I-184 and Curtis Road).

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
  • American Medical Technologists (RMA)
  • National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
  • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire
