Job Summary

We are seeking an SAP IT Analyst working on Commercial and Supply Chain applications and processes including Pricing, Order Entry, and Inventory Management applications in a Global B2B enterprise. You will join a global organization operating in over 40 countries and be responsible for supporting, implementing, and enhancing world class applications. You will work closely with business leaders to deliver business IT systems and business process solutions leveraging Avient’s world-class enterprise applications, including SAP ERP, Salesforce.com, and others. You will join a global team of experienced IT professionals and will help drive business results in the areas of sales growth, new product innovation, profitability, customer satisfaction, and commercial team productivity.

Essential Functions

  • Transforming technology into value across objectives in Avient IT’s four strategic areas:

o Investing in our people

o Delivering value-added solutions

o Delivering secure, reliable, cost-effective solutions

o Developing long-term strategies.

  • Providing both end-user support as well as building and deploying enhancements to the existing set of solutions within our Global Template (programing skills not required but helpful).
  • Researching and developing options or alternatives to meet business requirements while leveraging standard functionality when possible, and custom solutions when necessary.
  • Makes configuration and coding changes within the SAP SD and WM modules and other applications such as SAP Console, Salesforce.com, and local eInvoicing solutions.
  • Transform commercial and supply chain applications by developing and cultivating key relationships throughout the business
  • Build and maintain relevant technical documentation to ensure streamlined support and knowledge transfer within areas of responsibility
  • Developing and executing Change Management plans for systems implementations and process changes.
  • Act as key resource for unique regional and regulatory processes
  • On-call availability to resolve critical system issues during non-stand hours on a rotational basis.
  • As needed availability during non-standard hours to complete time sensitive project activities or communicate with global team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems or related business field, or equivalent experience required
  • 1-3 years of experience in functional analyst roles
  • Experience with enterprise ERP systems required. SAP, Salesforce.com, or similar preferred.
  • A proven record of accomplishment of working both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Communicates effectively with both technical IT audiences, and non-technical business audiences.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and creativity applied to IT systems and business processes.
  • Successful candidates will be driven to succeed while fostering a great place to work.
