Salary: The Hourly Range: $61.75 – $98.73

Doctorate Range: $72.77 to $101.32

(2022-2023 Certified Part-time Instructor/Overload Hourly Salary Schedule)

Part Time Faculty office Hours are paid at a flat rate of $30 per hour for 1/2 hour each week as a separate assignment

  • Part- Time Coach Instructor for one of Modesto Junior College’s Men’s and Women’s intercollegiate sports programs:
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Cross-Country/Track
  • Football
  • Golf
  • Soccer
  • Softball
  • Swimming
  • Tennis
  • Volleyball
  • Water Polo
  • Wrestling

Minimum Qualifications

Any bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience, or any associate degree and six years of professional experience.

Example of Duties

Perform all coaching duties including:

  • Teaching fundamentals, organizing practices, game preparation, conditioning, scheduling, and budget management.
  • Recruitment of student athletes in compliance with the California Community Colleges Athletic Association Constitution and Bylaws.
  • Liaison to four-year institutions and assist these institutions when evaluating MJC athletes.
  • Represent the District in a professional manner when relating to public and media relations.
  • Assist the athletic director in maintaining student progress and transferability.
  • Maintain and observe the rules as they apply to the maximum number of certified eligible student athletes.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as they relate to this position.
