About the role
- You will be responsible to the efficient running of The Bar in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.
- Assistant Manager - The Bar is responsible to assist the Restaurant Manager and the Hotel Sommelier in ensuring that the outlet is managed efficiently according to the established concept statement, providing courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times
- Managing and training Bar Attendants in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the guest experience
- Assist in opening (including setting and arranging tables) setup and closing of the outlet and communicate the information necessary to ensure a smooth hand-over of shifts
- Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming
- Taking reservations, greeting customers and presenting them with menus and beverage lists
- Provide guests with recommendations of beverage as well as dishes and winces to complement food in a friendly and professional manner
- Able to mix and create cocktails/ beverages in a timely manner
- Taking orders and relaying them to kitchen and bar staff / Serving food and beverages in professional manner
- Provide table service such as opening bottles and pouring beverages including mixing liquor and assisting in the cellar; Clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen; removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refilling and replacing glasses
- Collecting payments for sales and operating point of sales machines and cash register
- Salary Range: $70K ~ $75K
Qualifications
- Excellent food and beverage service skills
- Coffee making skills
- Current NSW RSA Certificate
- Previous experience and passion for making cocktails and mixology
- Good knowledge of wines and other beverages
- 2 year minimum experience in a similar role and environment
