[All locations are linked to one posting so there is no need to submit multiple applications for this position.]. -WE ARE HIRING 1 PERSON TO FILL THIS POSITION - The Education Specialist (Online Independent Study / Adult Students) is responsible to provide direct special education Specialized Academic Instructional services to students with disabilities in person and/or virtually, according to their Individualized Education Program Plan (IEP); provide and manage all facets of the IEP planning for students with disabilities including but not limited to case management, assessment, conducting annual/triennial IEP meetings and other case management duties; provide special education expertise to/for students with disabilities in the areas of academic assessments (formative, standardized, and others), Individualized Transition Planning (ITP) for students age 16 to 22, community and resource linkages that assist students with IEPs in accessing available resources that support their disability, and consultation and collaboration with students’ general education teachers, families, the Special Education Department, and other stakeholders on behalf of students with disabilities. The High School Teacher (Online Independent Study / Adult Students) supports students in meeting their educational goals and ensuring they are successful in an online independent study environment. Required duties include instruction of adult learners, administrative responsibilities, and completion of all required documentation to support students in attaining their high school diploma.
