Job Summary Job Summary Audeo Charter School (Audeo), affiliated with Altus Schools. Altus Schools are an educational option for students in grades 6-12. Its instructional design is based on a “University Model”. Students work independently and attend tutoring sessions. Students come at scheduled times to maintain a safe environment and supportive school culture. The course of study is based on the California State Framework. Altus Schools is seeking competent, energetic, student-centered educators with exceptional management and organizational skills, who understand youth, are able to motivate students, set high expectations, welcome accountability, and are good team players. An Altus Schools Education Specialist will: 1) support for the instructional program for students with special needs, 2) maintain and create accurate records for special education students, 3) on-going student assessment and evaluation, 4) on-going planning with instructional staff. Audeo Charter School is an educational option for grades K-12 students. Its instructional design is based on a “University Model”. Students work independently and attend classes, labs, or tutorials 1-2 times/wk. Students come at scheduled times; no more than 20 students on site at a time. The learning environment, located in resource centers throughout the city, is professional, clean, safe and well-equipped with curriculum resources, teacher & student laptops, desktop computers, wireless networks, and high-speed T-1 Internet access in each resource center. SELECTION PROCEDURE: Selected applicants will be interviewed by a panel of School Administrators and will complete work-styles/behavior survey and math quiz. Candidates who successfully complete this phase of process will be interviewed by the Executive Director and Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer.
