In this role, you have the opportunity to

Enable your DevOps vision, mindset and technical skills to help drive improving the IGT-S business results by accelerating & harmonizing the R&D software development productivity, quality and fulfillment. You will be a key player in this journey to make the most productive and efficient software development environment for IGT, by driving the transition to harmonized cloud enabled infrastructure services. You are responsible for

  • Define and maintain technology and tool roadmaps in the context of DevOps.
  • Define and drive our Development and build infrastructure architecture.
  • Participate as the DevOps Architect in the development projects and maintenance activities to deliver the best infrastructure and automation for continuous integration, continuous (unit) testing and releasing.
  • Key Stakeholder to the SW architecture team and SW development staff.
  • Work with teams across the globe and introduce and implement the DevOps reference architecture.
  • Team-up with other business units and Philips excellence groups to learn, re-use and share innovative developments.
  • Drive technical and cultural change.

You are a part of

The Image Guided Therapy Systems (IGT-S) development organization consists of 450 people, from which 110 people work in software development. Software is developed by teams, each focusing on a specific part of the system. The global DevOps team is responsible for the Software Development Infrastructure that includes Software Sets, Version Control, Tool validation, IT Security and frameworks for continuous integration, continuous (unit) testing and releasing. By ways of automation, the relatively small team is able to support all IGT system projects including the entire software development community.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • BSc / MSc degree in SW Engineering, Informatics or Computer Science.
  • 10+ years of software development experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the role of architect or technical lead.
  • Up-to-date with state of the art tools, processes and technologies.
  • Strong communicator and influencer to drive change.
  • Acting professional on different levels with different disciplines in a complex multisite organization.
  • Good balancing between pragmatism and flexibility with a quality mindset.
  • Experience in software development methodologies and frameworks such as Agile, Scrum and V-model.
  • Experience in working in a Healthcare Product development environment is an advantage.
