Cybersecurity Engineer

KBR is seeking a highly motivated self-starter, adaptable to a fast-paced and challenging environment as a cybersecurity engineer in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) who can work independently and as a team contributor supporting multiple stakeholders. Join our dynamic team of talented and forward leaning engineers in supporting cybersecurity operations to meet US Air Force requirements.

About the Role: You will help distinguish our company with professionalism, best practices and deliverables that build customer loyalty. Among the responsibilities of the role are:

  • Support cybersecurity of Air Force networks that hosts various applications
  • Document architecture and develop recommendations to enable transformational DevSecOps changes
  • Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments of current and future networks
  • Perform key cybersecurity analyses and use technical risk management principles to assess applications and systems
  • Review documentation to ensure that established security requirements are adequately addressed and sustained
  • Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes leading to successful Authority to Operate (ATO) decisions
  • Make ATO recommendations to Security Control Assessor (SCA) and Authorizing Official (AO)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

BS / BA in computer science and 7 years of directly related experience is required

DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II (CISSP) certification is required

Familiarity with DoDIs 8500.01 & 8510.01, NIST SP 800-53, and RMF is required

Experience with A&A processes, ATO requirements, and SCA/AO requirements is required

DoD Secret Clearance is required at hire and must be maintained. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility at hire is desired.

The ideal candidate will have skills and experience with one or more of the following:

IaaS/PaaS/SaaS

DevSecOps/agile

software applications

cloud (AWS, Azure, e.g.)

virtual machines (VMware, e.g.)

containers (Kubernetes, e.g.)

5% travel may be required.
