This position will be for a Monday Friday 0800-1600. No weekends/holidays. Potential for an earlier start time of 0600 or staying late until 1900.
About The Job:
The Client Services Clerk is primarily responsible for the general customer service duties of the Laboratory. These include greeting and receiving outpatients, visitors and physicians, handling phone calls, calling results, generating admits into the hospital system for regional lab specimens, placing test orders, receiving and labeling specimens, answering questions from all customers-including regional labs, and maintaining various files.
What we are looking for:
Education:
Required:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Preferred:
Graduate of Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program.
CNA with 2 years of hospital experience.
Current students in Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technician, or Medical Laboratory Science programs.
Secondary education in job related classes such as Anatomy and Physiology, Introduction to Laboratory Science, Medical Terminology, Fundamentals of Laboratory Medicine, or Body Structure and Function. Verified through college transcripts.
Experience:
Previous clinical experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
