The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary and multicultural perspectives and should bring an expertise in a broad range of undergraduate philosophy courses to the position.

The college particularly invites candidates who are comfortable with both classroom and online instruction as course delivery modes will vary based on the needs of DCTC’s wide variety of programs.

  • Required Qualifications Master’s degree with a major in philosophy or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in philosophy.

AboutFounded in 1970 Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) is a public, two-year technical college in Rosemount, Minnesota. DCTC offers about 150 programs. DCTC will allows students the possibility to go right into work force after graduation. Students who graduate from DCTC gave a 90% chance of getting a job after graduation.

DCTC has over 2,000 students, and a very diverse culture. Students of color make up about 20 percent of the population. 35.2 percent of students are low income and eligible for Pell grants. Dakota County Technical College is a public two-year institution of higher education dedicated to the philosophy that there is dignity in all work and value in individual growth and learning. It is the philosophy of the college that all of its students should have access to quality education that prepares them for rewarding careers. Benefits InfoSalary: Full time faculty salaries currently range from $40,912 – $85,892 annually. Salary schedule placement is determined on the basis of education and experience and in accordance with the 2021-2023 Master Agreement between the Minnesota State Board of Trustees and the Minnesota State College Faculty.

Depending on credit load, the State of Minnesota offers:
