Escalation Engineer

Summary:

Varonis Systems is the leader in unstructured data governance software, which is any human-generated data that is within a company’s environment. Our goal is to protect the company's most sensitive information from insider threats and cyberattacks. We do this by allowing organizations to analyze, secure, manage, and migrate their volumes of unstructured data.

We are searching for a highly motivated Escalation Engineer (Tier-IV) to join our core applications team. The team extracts and analyzes huge amounts of data from the latest IT technologies available today. This team builds user space crawlers and kernel modules that process this data with minimal impact on memory, CPU, and network traffic.

The Escalation Engineer must learn fast and adapt to quickly changing technology in order to provide top-tier support for our product line. This position will investigate customer issues with our products and provide timely resolution while coordinating with our support and development teams.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert level technical support for our products
• Analyze, diagnose, and debug complex customer issues
• Create and implement patches, fixes, and diagnostic tools
• Take ownership of escalations and drive towards resolution
• Act as a technical focal point in cooperative relationships with other internal groups
• 20% of your time will be focused on development of code solutions and 80% will be focused on troubleshooting and analysis of product issues
• Coordinate with other engineers from various product components to deliver success
• Acquire both broad and in-depth product knowledge
• Create and improve documentation to train support engineers to resolve support cases
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills

Requirements:

• At least 2 years' experience of proven development experience in C# & .NET technologies
• Proven experience with SQL DB and writing store procedures
• Web application development experience
• Fast technology adaptation.
• Understanding and experience with multithreaded programming.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work occasional scheduled night and weekend shifts
