Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (ARDx) is looking for a KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER, INFECTIOUS DISEASES (M/F/D)

THE OPPORTUNITY

The position is within our Business Unit Infectious Diseases, which is located at Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Germany GmbH, Cologne.

As Key Account Manager, Infectious Diseases you will have the chance to developing key accounts, especially in the Secondary Care sectors, and implementing national strategies for Abbott’s new and existing products and services in partnership with other business functions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Developing Secondary Care Sector markets and customers to achieve sales targets for ARDx products
  • Guiding and controlling sales strategies based on KPIs, clients’ needs and product concepts
  • Negotiation and Contract Management with C-Level business partners in Hospital Chain and Purchasing Organizations
  • Articulating issues and business opportunities with relevant customers to secure long term strategic business of national significance
  • Providing outstanding customer service and facilitating change initiatives in cooperation with key stakeholders.
  • Conceptual and strategic implementation of ARDX products and marketing campaigns
  • Presenting Abbott and its product sales and marketing meetings and conference 

QALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Primary degree in BA or equivalent work experience in the field of diagnostics
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in Medical Devices or similar environment
  • Excellent knowledge of market sector, relevant key accounts, and clients’ needs
  • Experience in negotiation with respective key stakeholders and physicians
  • Team player with a high level of business acumen, energy, and enthusiasm
  • Excellent organization, facilitator, and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in German and English
