We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Site Reliability Engineer to take ownership of leading our Cloud Products, ensuring that our systems and services enforce to the thorough security and compliance requirements set by FedRAMP. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and security, to design, implement, and maintain highly available and secure infrastructure. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of FedRAMP-compliant systems, from design and deployment to monitoring, incident response, and optimization.

What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of FedRAMP-compliant infrastructure and systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that applications are developed with security and compliance in mind from the outset.
• Establish and maintain processes for continuous monitoring, logging, and auditing of systems to ensure compliance with FedRAMP controls.
• Work closely with security teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities, conduct security assessments, and implement necessary security controls.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans specific to the FedRAMP space.
• Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
• Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reliability of FedRAMP systems.
• Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations to enhance system performance and availability.
• Stay current with industry best practices, evolving security threats, and updates to FedRAMP guidelines, and apply this knowledge to enhance the security posture of our systems.
• Contribute to documentation efforts to ensure comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of FedRAMP systems and processes.

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• 5 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on managing systems in a FedRAMP-compliant environment.
• Strong understanding of the FedRAMP framework, its controls, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS & Azure and experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid scripting and programming skills (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and tool development.
• Familiarity with security best practices, vulnerability management, and incident response processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across interdisciplinary teams.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are a plus.
