Job Description

PH&N Institutional is RBC Global Asset Management’s (RBC GAM) institutional asset management business in Canada. We manage over $100 billion in assets on behalf of Canadian organizations including companies, governments, unions, institutions, not-for-profit organizations, family offices, and Aboriginal communities.

What will you do?

  • Support teammates in delivering high quality, accurate work within short timelines.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in analysis and preparation of client reporting/monitoring and other deliverables.
  • Work with our CRM to capture key business development activities.
  • Research, create and maintain presentation materials (charts, slides, data analysis, etc.).
  • Maintain/update the PH&N Institutional Handbook.
  • Collaborate and work hard in a fast-paced environment. What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Strong work ethic, desire to learn and contribute
  • Ability to work independently and is self-motivated to meet assigned responsibilities
  • Advanced MS Office Skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, and prioritize while multi-tasking during tight deadlines
  • Team player with a “can-do” attitude, who is able to work effectively with employees at all level
  • Strong writing skills, and the ability to capture meeting notes and key takeaways for distribution to the team

Nice-to-have

  • Experience working with data & terminology related to the investment industry
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) system, preferably Salesforce

Job Summary

The PH&N Institutional Analyst Co-op Intern is a junior member of the PH&N Institutional team, based in Toronto. This Intern will work with our team to support client service and development. The ideal candidate will be from a business, finance, accounting, or related program; has an excellent command of MS Office, a flair for data and numbers, as well as strong interpersonal skills, and a solid interest in asset management. Most importantly, this student is enthusiastic, client-service oriented, and has a keen attention to detail.
