Job Description

What is the opportunity?

You will ensure that all Client and Product data is managed, used and controlled effectively and appropriately for purpose. The post holder will supervise the Data Management team to ensure that a quality service is maintained within established SLAs. Data Management supports data set-up and maintenance activities for all WMI businesses and product lines. Data Management is responsible for monitoring Data Quality and working with business and product areas to adhere to consistent Data Quality and accuracy rules. This a permanent position on an RBC contract.

What will you do?

  • Joint responsible for managing the Data Management & Quality team. Providing guidance, development coaching and mentoring to the team. Provide clarity in establishing and achieving goals with clear outcomes, driving performance and supporting career development
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of data across and between multiple systems is maintained
  • Acts as first point of escalation for validation of non-routine enquires
  • Align individuals within the team to assist with changing workload priorities and volumes to ensure SLA’s are met
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of an appropriate control environment in line with applicable data standards, regulatory requirements and business unit procedures
  • Assist with the completion and distribution of MI, control and data reports
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure that all issues, queries and obstacles are satisfactorily resolved to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Proactively perform quality assurance checks throughout the team. Actively monitor, audit and report on team performance
  • Act as an SME to assist with Optimisation activities including the development of new RPA processes, Service Requests and core application development

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Proven experience of maintaining data within a Financial Services environment
  • Good understanding of the regulatory and control environment within which WMI operates
  • Track record in excellent service delivery
  • Ability to make fast decisions, and be willing to escalate issues
  • People Management experience

Nice-to-have

  • Good understanding of the operation of various systems in use and intra-system connections and relationships
  • Wealth Management industry experience
