Job Description

What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth concise operation between RBC Investor Services clients and the Broker/Dealer and Intermediary community. You will provide support to the Broker Dealer community and assist in the communication of any new product launch. You will manage and act as the primary contact for Strategic external Brokers, Dealers or Intermediaries and build a strong and effective relationship with the dealer community by continuous communication and touchpoint meetings during the year to educate and grow an understanding of pain points.

What will you do?

  • Raise awareness amongst Dealers to RBC Investor Services presence in the marketplace.
  • To develop and maintain relationships to ensure consistent quality of service delivery for our key strategic partners by continuous communication and touchpoint meetings
  • Educate dealers on new industry standards and requirements.
  • Represent Dealer Relations in operational meetings and client launches.
  • Provide industry knowledge and insight to operational groups and management
  • Distribution of Fund Information Sheets
  • Maintenance and review of Dealer and Intermediary Agreements.
  • Communication and monitor and disseminate information using Fundserv’s Fund Company Bulletin automatic mailing service.
  • Respond to ESG file issues that are encountered across all management companies for assigned dealers.
  • Provide Asset under management reporting
  • Act as a mentor and assist in problem resolution for team members.
  • Continuously looks for opportunities to improve processes to help increase overall efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Review Dealer Services inbox.
  • Communicate and any issues encountered to the senior manager of the department.
  • Provide any reporting as required

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bilingual Language Proficiency in English/French
  • 4-7 years of relevant work experience
  • Mutual Fund Back Office or Dealer Back office Operational experience
  • Strong, effective organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong knowledge of Investment fund Industry and Fundserv distribution network

Nice to have

  • Bilingualism: French and English
  • Completion of the IFIC Operations of Mutual Funds course
  • Segregated Funds knowledge
  • Previous Customer/Dealer service experience
