The Sr Manager, Marketing and Business Ops will guide the strategic agenda through Marketing and Media teams by linking the plan with execution, looking for constant improvements and enhancements throughout the year. You will be a credible and extended arm of the CMO and support driving the Marketing and media agenda. You will help execute major cross-functional projects (i.e., Task Forces) to drive KPI development and optimize organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Annual BP process, staying close to our organization (team engagement, all hands meetings, sites, innovation, and inspiration), and working together with (extended) Marketing LT will be significant responsibilities. Organizational fitness and efficiencies will be another role responsibility (workflows, processes, team structures). You will work with national & regional Marketing and Media teams and partner with Global counterparts.

  • LONG-TERM STRATEGIC DIRECTION FOR MARKETING AND MEDIA
  • Support the CMO & MLT to adapt and develop its long-term strategic road map by thoroughly analyzing our Marketing Mix, activities, outcomes, and external trends (overall and competition)
  • Identify new opportunities and potential options for future Marketing activities and track activities of other major consumer brands to be one step ahead.
  • Outline the strategy of the Marketing and Media Business Plan following the CMO and the Marketing Leadership Team.
  • Screen Red Bull's global network and build relationships with peer markets to discover winning concepts with the potential to be implemented in the US market.
  • Monitor respective trials and ‘test projects’ and come back with clear recommendations to move forward or not.
  • Look into organizational and structural capabilities – from now until then (long-term)
  • Break down deliverables into clearly defined segments with short- and long-term wins.
  • Inform important marketing department growth targets/KPIs for long-term target-setting
  • ANNUAL BUSINESS PLANNING
  • Drive the input and execution of the rolling Business Plan process, incorporating all departments.
  • Deliver a brand-driven, marketing-led, sales-synched consumer marketing planning process adopted at the Santa Monica HQ and US Region level while meeting global team members' expectations.
  • Create backend marketing planning tools and process blueprints to ensure consistency and effectiveness across all channels.
  • Inform marketing resource allocation decisions, ensuring understanding of overall business strategy and considering external market factors.
  • Monitor the performance of the marketing planning process to identify performance and ways of working gaps, take insights, and refine marketing planning processes and tools.
  • FOSTER CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
  • Lead project teams and workstreams, i.e., Task Forces (Gaming, Active Lifestyle) and other ad-hoc projects, i.e., ‘How to better increase core growth from Mktg & Media.
  • Represent the CMO at relevant meetings (internal, external) to be more engaging as a team.
  • Keep a constant “opened eyes and ears” mindset to keep an informed pulse of the Mktg & Media organization, the regions, and the overall ED / competitive environment.
  • Build axis between Marketing and Sales partners and help build respective understanding, i.e., lead special projects and asks from an Off - and On-Premise perspective.
  • Establish and live close connection to the Extended Marketing Leadership Team (EMLT) to perfectly support respective needs, demands, and projects on an ongoing basis.
  • PROJECT LEADERSHIP, EXECUTION, AND PARTNER TO CMO
  • Clearly defined projects, elaborate and develop these
  • Manage collaborative projects
  • Be the sparring partner and objective sounding board for the CMO in ongoing and daily management.
  • Work with co-workers and cross-functions
  • Objective, comprehensive, detailed, and error-free analyses to inform decisions, i.e., plan vs. reality.
  • Onboard relevant team members to project teams and bring the group to a defined outcome, i.e., task forces.
  • Source important information and ensure the latest information and input are ready for the CMO.
  • REPORTING & DOCUMENTATION
  • Help with the creation/development of needed materials (pitch decks, updates, reports).
  • Coordinate monthly reporting, tracking, and distribution to the Red Bull North America Marketing and Media leadership teams.
  • Guide main ‘reporting projects’ (quarterly updates, all hands-meetings content, country visits) – narrative & story.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 8 years of experience working within a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) environment
  • Prior experience in Marketing Management/Brand Management
  • A strategic, future-focused mindset paired with experience with hands-on tasks to execute
  • Develop and implement successful marketing strategies that support our goals
  • Assess and summarize the current landscape/process flow and market opportunities
  • Plan, prioritization, and project management competencies
  • Connect and work with and through people as a trusted team player
  • Top knowledge about Red Bull’s Marketing Mix and the respective departmental functions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and new state-of-the-art programs and Apps
  • Travel 10-20%

The base salary range for this position is $101k to $112k + cash incentives Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
