Red Bull UK and Acosta Europe are looking for Regional Sales Manager to be based in the Home Counties. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will lead a team to drive sales through availability and visibility of Red Bull. Your customer base will consist of independent retailers in a defined region. Please note that you’ll need to live within, or be willing to relocate to, this territory and you’ll need a UK manual driving license to be eligible.

  • KPI’s
  • To employ the appropriate team and talent to ensure continuous delivery of Red Bull regional sales plan
  • Achieve KPIs within the current regional Striker budget
  • Implement in-store interventions made and then work in conjunction with the National Sales Manager to revise regional sales plan
  • Draw on personal knowledge, experience and best practice from other areas of the business, in order to exceed as an expert in your region
  • Prepare for and hold monthly meetings to ensure performance against all KPI’s.
  • Drive an activity plan with your region to drive performance
  • Effectively brief the Regional team for field success, e.g. point of sale materials etc
  • Execute league tables, case studies, additional incentives and newsletters provided to encourage healthy competition
  • Regional Sales Plan
  • Lead and coach direct reports to ensure that the team achieve predetermined KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Track, monitor and adapt to market conditions to ensure the achievement of the bonus/KPI payment criteria
  • Ensure the Red Bull and the group business strategy, vision and objectives are understood by all Strikers and that they are motivated to deliver against them
  • To coach, develop and train Regional team in order to drive motivation and performance of your team
  • Ensure clear Development Plans for all the team are implemented and managed based on KPIs, performance and values demonstration and that they align with annual appraisal process and 1-2-1 discussions
  • To ensure that any vacancies are actioned by the relevant person in a timely manner resulting in minimum loss of coverage
  • Create an on-going plan for reducing disruption and cover for any vacancies
  • To recruit against profile with the purpose of bringing the best people into the business
  • Hold monthly team meetings that are compelling and motivating to drive performance and retention, including training sessions on key identified areas for the forthcoming period
  • To host agreed field development days/audits with your team to further identify training and their development needs.
  • Team Leadership
  • Carry out individual performance appraisals and implement personal development plans
  • Motivate team to maximise their potential for themselves and Red Bull
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Interact meaningful and build key relationships with relevant people within Red Bull that are part of the regional contact plan
  • Attend and give regional input at reviews and business development meetings with Red Bull contacts when required
  • Work with the National Sales Manager to ensure an understanding of the Red Bull’s business goals, challenges and budgets in order to seek out opportunity, creating a sustainable partnership approach with the Red Bull
  • Develop relationships during Red Bull visits to gain greater understanding of our Red Bull business and to identify additional opportunities to grow business.
  • Work with the National Sales Manager to develop regional operational plans to find opportunities to grow relationship, sales and talent pipeline
  • Reporting / Insight / Evaluation
  • Drive outstanding performance and solutions through actionable insight of the Region
  • Analyse results and KPI’s offering substantiation of performance and implement appropriate changes to operational plans for future improvements and next steps
  • Identify gaps and implement appropriate changes to operational plans to drive increased performance, revenue and contribution margin
  • Evaluate all available data (Power Bi reports etc.) to provide relevant actionable insight to Strikers to drive Regional and individual KPI achievement
  • Analyse and provide field insight to National Sales Manager for any future opportunities or challenges in order to drive continuous improvements
  • Communications
  • Attend meetings with National Sales team when required to discuss and in give input into and share updates on your regional performance
  • Contribute to company initiatives as appropriate
  • Communicate group values and beliefs to all your team ensuring all relevant information is clearly understood within your account
  • Effectively communicate all group messages to your regional team and upward to line manager
  • To ensure best practice is shared across the group via internal meetings
  • New Business
  • Keep abreast of trends, news and information concerning the industry and market
  • To participate in high profile store visits with Red Bull contribute to maximising future opportunities
  • Provide regular written, verbal and electronic communication with line manager of all identified areas of feedback or any given opportunity
  • Data Recording & Reporting
  • Regular analysis of regional performance and production of weekly and monthly reports as agreed with line manager
  • Regular analysis of Regional Team performance to ensure all data recording and reporting is accurate and of the standard required. Coach team to remove shortcomings
  • Technical
  • Ensure a comprehensive understanding for self and regional team of the Global Connect/ShopLINK script and tablet operation in order to optimise data capture
  • Financials
  • Control of all Regional budgets, managing costs ensuring accurate no budget overspending
  • Give input to budget reconciliation and forecasting process each month with National Sales Manager as appropriate, owning the FAR process and Opportunities Tracker for the account
  • Administration
  • Validation of field results by carrying out the specified number of audits required by the Regional field audit procedure
  • To control and maintain records for all equipment and company property allocated to the Field Team
  • Other Requirements

  • Ability to build relationships
  • Previous experience within FMCG, retail or a sales environment is required.
  • Be enthusiastic about the Red Bull brand and have the drive and tenacity to succeed.
  • Be comfortable working and leading an autonomous team in a field-based environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills along with strong interpersonal skills, including rapport building and influencing
  • Proven selling skills and commercial acumen along with being self-motivated, determined and target driven
  • We value experience over formal education.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Travel 90-100%
