As one of our Key Account Managers you will manage the relationship with your assigned grocery account(s). This is a highly strategic role where you will be responsible for developing and executing a business plan that drives growth and achieves Red Bull's targets (which include financial, brand presence, long-term sales drivers & market share targets), while at the same time also best delivers on the retailer strategy with your assigned customer.

  • MANAGE YOUR CUSTOMERS P&L
  • You will build an annual business plan (for each customer) that delivers on agreed KPI’s through the effective management of available investments.
  • You will ensure the achievement of your agreed business plan sales volume and value metrics across the accounts you directly manage.
  • You will be able to balance short-term and long-term strategic investments to aid market share growth.
  • You will proactively identify and manage commercial proposals to support ad-hoc growth opportunities.
  • EFFECTIVE CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT
  • You will own the multi layered relationships of your customers.
  • You will develop and execute national account plans focused on availability, visibility, and brand communication to support brand awareness metrics.
  • You will attend all key customer meetings and events, including JBP meetings, business reviews, retailer hosted events and trade shows, and Red Bull led activations.
  • EFFECTIVE IN-STORE ACTIVATION
  • You will drive in-store execution and activation across your customers via the execution team (direct or third party). This will be achieved through proactive communication, including developing and delivering conceptual sell-in documents and trainings for the Field Sales teams.
  • You will ensure you have regular value-added engagements with all of your customers.
  • You will be responsible for the store level joint business plan (JBP) commercials and reviews to ensure each store is compliant. You will need to work closely with the Field Sales teams to ensure this is achieved successfully.
  • ENSURE ROBUST TRADE SPEND MANAGEMENT AND FORECAST PROCESSES
  • You will ensure compliance to the trade spend management process.
  • You will use your planning skills and attention to detail to deliver a robust rolling forecast. You will proactively manage changes with the Operations Team to ensure sufficient stock cover, this will include all NPD launches.
  • EXECUTION OF PROMOTIONAL PROGRAMS FOR THE CUSTOMER
  • You will develop and implement national promotional programs which align to customer strategy and deliver Red Bull’s business plan commitments.
  • You will utilise available data to understand key performance drivers and adapt promotional/activation activity which will deliver the strongest customer plan possible.
  • You will have direct responsibility over financial claims and all financial impacts in relation to your accounts.
  • CROSS FUNCTIONAL ENGAGEMENT
  • You will work with the Category Manager to translate key sales data and shopper insights into simple, easy to use tools for the Field Teams.
  • You will also work with Finance Team on monthly accruals and reconciliation of actual against forecast spend.
  • You will have proactive interactions across the wider business to garner support on customer specific initiatives.
  • You will work closely with the Operations Team on monthly demand plans.

EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • Ideally, you will have a minimum 3 years’ FMCG account management experience, exposure to Foodstuffs will be advantageous but is not essential.
  • You must have strong negotiation skills, with experience in seeking 'win-win' outcomes.
  • Your customer relationship management skills are one of your superpowers.
  • You are a great communicator and can present with confidence.
  • You are developing your commercial acumen, including planning, financial and analytical skills.
  • You have critical thinking and are ability to analyse data and generate meaningful insights.
  • A NZ Full Driver’s License is essential.
  • Tertiary level degree in related field (such as Business, Commerce, Finance) is preferred.
  • Business English, both spoken and written, is essential.
  • Travel 10-20%
