POSITION: Senior Software Engineer in Test

JOB DUTIES: The Sr Software Engineer in Test will identify, formulate, and solve moderately complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. In addition, they will analyze the requirements, resources, and demands of the software business and provides solutions to increase the efficiency of the business; provides a comprehensive outlook about a software business; documents solutions regarding problems of customers and works towards improving the output of the business.

Job Duties: Develop, maintain, and execute a wide range of basic quality tests to ensure software applications meet or exceed technical specifications, company standards, and end-user requirements utilizing SDLC, Java programming and SQL. Provide testing estimates required for user stories based on business requirements, specifications and designs. Design and write test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures, using SQL, and scripting with Selenium, WebdriverIO, and JavaScript. Document software defects, including debugging and troubleshooting issues, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers. Review and/or gather test plan requirements; develop and/or revise test scripts. Specify and implement test automation framework using software programming and automated test tools as well as WebdriverIO, Selenium, Telerik, or similar products. Execute automated tests on multiple environments, utilizing multiple browsers. Expand automation framework to provide additional test capabilities. Design, code, and document automated test cases within a defined framework to ensure quality. Improve the reliability and repeatability of automated testing.

Conduct diagnostic analysis and troubleshooting to resolve complex software issues. Participate in and facilitate daily meetings to communicate progress and barriers to completing application development and testing goals. Assist in risk analysis after becoming knowledgeable about the various environments and/or platforms in which company products and application systems operate. Maintain and update user guides and release documentation.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 3 years of experience in a related occupation, gaining experience with the following: full software development life cycle (SDLC); Java programming; SQL; writing test plans; debugging and troubleshooting issues; quality assurance; and software programming and automation tools.

OFFERED WAGE: $80,000 - $130,000/year
