POSITION: Senior Software Engineer

JOB DUTIES: The Senior Software Engineer will identify, formulate, and solve moderately complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. In addition, they will analyze the requirements, resources, and demands of the software business and provides solutions to increase the efficiency of the business; provides a comprehensive outlook about a software business; documents solutions regarding problems of customers and works towards improving the output of the business. The Senior Software Engineer of Home Delivery works with an agile team to design, develop, and optimize software solutions to conveniently deliver prescription medications to member door steps. Use background in object-oriented design and coding patterns and practices. Work with software development lifecycle, web/API security best practices, and data source integrations. Drive the full cycle of project development leading to business objectives and value realization.

Duties of the Senior Software Engineer of Home Delivery: Work with third party vendors to understand API contract and specification. From that specification write detailed engineering tasks for the Home Delivery Product. Work closely with the engineering manager to estimate the size and duration of software changes for the team. Research new architecture patterns and design to be used to continuously evolve the capabilities of the product. Mentor and guide junior members of the team on engineering practices such as meeting coding standards (e.g., PSR12), testing strategies and frameworks, and design concepts & patterns. Maintain architecture documents for the Home Delivery product through the SDLC process. Complete final code reviews for team ensuring overall quality of the product. Perform programing, including writing API Services using PHP/ Laravel. Work with relational database management systems (RDBMS), specifically MySQL variants (AWS Aurora, Percona Server, MariaDB). Use elastic compute (AWS EC2) and cloud storage (AWS S3) systems to work with the AWS public cloud platform.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 3 years of experience in a related occupation, gaining software development experience, including 1 year of experience working with the following: relational database management systems (RDBMS); MySQL variants (AWS Aurora, Percona Server, MariaDB); and AWS public cloud platform with elastic compute (AWS EC2) and cloud storage (AWS S3) systems. Six months experience programing by writing API Services using PHP/ Laravel.

OFFERED WAGE: $110,000 - $130,000/year
