What is the opportunity?

A mutual fund licensed banking professional delivering an exceptional and personal client experience to Enterprise Private Clients (EPC) focused on Private Banking’s core value proposition of, credit, cash management and day-to-day banking. Partners with EPC Managing Directors (EPC MDs) in Wealth Planning activities. Responsible for growing and deepening existing Private Banking client relationships through discovery, planning & advice. Partners with EPC MDs to bring new clients to RBC. A One RBC Advisor and steward of a portfolio of RBC clients. You bring the best of RBC to clients, their networks, and their families. You lead the Private Banking Client Relationship Team to introduce EPC clients to the right solutions and capabilities at the right time to help meet client needs within Private Banking. Partners with EPC MDs to introduce partner capabilities across RBC.

What will you do?

  • Put clients at the center, introducing clients to the right Private Banking partners at the right time; partners with EPC Managing Directors (MD) to enable and nurture and grow One RBC enterprise relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Provide high end relationship management and proactive advice for both sides of the balance sheet to Enterprise Private Client (EPC) households, deliver an exceptional and personal client experience and build client loyalty; support the credit team in setting realistic expectations with the client upfront in what is required to fulfill on credit needs
  • Meet established practice management targets by ensuring weekly value-added proactive management follows the client service model while prioritizing strategic annual reviews as a fulfilment of the promise of Private Banking’s value proposition around banking and credit needs to the client
  • Introduce the Advisor and Associate team as key advisors on managing day to day banking needs, and the lending team as credit experts for credit advice and solutions; support the teaming model for Advisor, Associate and Credit roles, respecting and reinforcing role clarity to deliver on client needs; own client problem resolution for Private Banking products and solutions, sourcing answers, escalating as required
  • Engage in deep discovery to fully understand client needs and always act in the client’s best interest; provide advice on appropriate solutions that are appropriate for client needs and financial circumstances for both sides of the balance sheet, collaborate to ensure credit discovery and advice provided by the credit team aligns to overall client strategy
  • Create, document and implement effective, customized client strategic annual reviews leveraging the full ClientView capability, partner with MCS/ DCS to ensure Credit Advice Framework and proactive credit discovery, planning and advice delivered by the credit team aligns to overall client strategy; establish regular routines with MCS and DCS to proactively manage retail and wholesale credit renewals, jointly work with credit members in collecting documents and information needed for renewals; keeps EPC MDs informed on outcomes
  • Responsible for the client on-boarding experience, while ensuring the integrity of collected information, clearly documenting applications/forms and minimizing client impact and out of orders by getting it right the first time; responsible to ensure clear and adequate Source of Wealth (description of the activity which has generated the wealth), Source of Funds (description of the origin of funds to be accepted at on boarding), references to corroborate reputation information where available, geographic risk, etc. are captured in the client file to support the on boarding of the new relationship 
  • Speak up for and about inclusion, create the conditions where colleagues and clients’ uniqueness is appreciated and valued; as an informal leader, treat all colleagues and team members across the CRT with respect and ensure a respectful workplace is fostered and upheld by all team members

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Minimum 5 years relationship management experience
  • Mutual Fund Licensed
  • Credit Experience and Financial Acumen
  • Enterprise Mindset
  • Full-time in office requirement

Nice to Have

  • Experience with High New Worth Clients
  • Financial Planning knowledge and/or accredited
