We are seeking a Cloud Business Application Developer to join our Cloud Orchestration team, part of our broader Cloud Solutions & Innovation team in Richmond, VA.

Position Description

Hi! The Cloud Orchestration team is a group of creative individuals who transform cloud applications into accessible and impactful tools for our business. Our focus is not just on the technical aspects, but on creating user-friendly interfaces and visualizations that enable efficient use of these applications. We ensure applications are not only functional but also intuitive and ready for immediate use by the business. We push the boundaries of what's possible in our ecosystem.

We are seeking a Cloud Business Application Developer with cloud engineering skills that will partner with McKesson Technology to bridge the gap between technical functionalities and user-friendly interfaces, ensuring our applications are ready to use and deliver impactful results. The candidate will effectively collaborate with our cloud commercialization team, you will need to be intrinsically motivated by money, sales, and technology.

We’re looking for someone who likes figuring out ways to sell and make a profit. One who has a natural talent related to money and cloud technology. The major skill set is taking applications and making them useable by the business. The minor skill set is cloud engineering, understanding the build of applications, effective design with a user-friendly interface. You'll get to use the latest cloud tech and stay up to date on the latest cloud certifications. We meet in person once a month to collaborate. We work hard, play hard, and love what we do.

Responsibilities

Partner with McKesson’s Technology team to:

• Create intuitive user interfaces for our cloud applications.
• Transform technical data to help users understand and engage with the applications effectively.
• Collaborate with data engineers to access and integrate data from cloud data warehouses and other sources.
• Contribute to engineering projects that lead to the development of business tools.
• Work closely with the business for feedback, understand gaps, and optimal usability.
• Innovative to bring cloud application ideas to life.
• Ensure users have a clear understanding of how to use the new cloud applications to achieve their goals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s in data science, Psychology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience in UX/UI Design
• Communicate technical information to non-technical users.
• Problem-solving to understand business needs and transform them into user-friendly solutions.
• Cloud engineering experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Cloud certification with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered. 

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$80,600 - $134,400
