Location-based services, weather forecasting and navigation systems, available on almost every mobile device, are just a few examples. The opportunities to use space data to help government and industry address key challenges such as climate change, environmental sustainability and net-zero continue to expand, along with evolving security and privacy requirements.
Our capabilities in Earth observation, satellite communications, satellite navigation, satellite operations, space applications and space cybersecurity include data processing and exploitation, robotics, command and control, on-board software, modeling and simulations, ground segment engineering, and situational awareness.
As Global Industry Lead for Space you will be responsible to orchestrate and support the development of the Space industry globally to grow CGI’s industry posture. By defining a global strategy, aligned with global operations to undertake and orchestrate and support all required measures like e.g. increase of external market awareness, increase the qualified pipeline, develop the global value proposition, create and share thought-leadership content in blogs or similar, execute and own the yearly Voice-of-the-Client (VoC) analysis and derive VoC insights, perform VoC readouts, executing and supporting Executive Insights Exchange (EIE) meetings, interact with Analysts, etc. Your activities to raise the industry posture will be supported by a dedicated industry marketing person.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Connect dots to drive and support the growth of your industry as thought-leader
Identify and follow up on the latest industry and market trends to define strategic opportunities and direction
Close daily collaboration with collaborators (internally) to align on objectives and support their growth ambitions
Engage in dialogues with C-Level client’s (externally) to demonstrate and gain acceptance as thought leader, helping positioning CGI as a partner of choice
Lead and moderate the global industry cabinet and industry growth council
Drive the development of industry end-to-end value propositions that promote CGI’s global positioning and expertise in the space industry
Develop and capture the industry strategy in industry development plan
Align the global industry strategy with the SBU/BU leaders and industry subject matter experts
Leverage your industry expertise to lead the data analysis and development of the Voice-of-the-Client and Global Client Insights content for Space
Increase brand recognition through marketing campaigns
Build and maintain relationships with external analysts
Identify and prioritize key required investments and/or go-to-market activities, aligned with the priorities and goals expressed in the Industry Development Plan
Participate and provide leadership in key industry events
Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Industry domain expertise in one space-related sector with rich industry contacts
Technological understanding
Industry-focused and aware of business issues in this sector
Extensive business development background
Exceptional communicator, listener, presenter and very responsive
Consultative approach with an inherent ability to understand and address client needs
Strong collaborative attitude, to align different internal and external stakeholders around the globe
Support and enablement approach
Multilingual (Fluent business English is imperative, more languages desirable but not required)
