Position Description:

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Consultant takes an end-to-end, process-based approach to address key business challenges such as complexity reduction, lean manufacturing and operations excellence, process innovation, strategic cost reduction, enterprise transformation and growth through fast innovation. Finance Functional Consultants are challenged to understand and respond to clients' varied business needs in both the private and public sector, and work with clients to rapidly enhance the internal capabilities needed to continuously improve operational and innovation performance. Our core offerings target different aspects of a client's value chain - both across the enterprise and at the intersections of assets, process, polices, and people delivering value.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Become a solid source of information in your area of expertise. This would include having significant to expert knowledge in TWO or MORE of the Dynamics AX technical skills that may include but are not limited to:

a. Financials

i. General Ledger

ii. Liquidity Management (Bank Management)

iii. Fund Accounting

iv. Accounts Receivable

v. Accounts Payable

vi. Fixed Assets

vii. Expense Management

viii. Financial Reporting

ix. Budgeting

b. Supply Chain Management

i. Inventory control

ii. Sales order processing

iii. Purchase order processing

iv. Warehouse management

v. Production

vi. Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

vii. Lean Manufacturing

viii. Product builder (product configurator)

ix. Quality control

c. Project and Service

i. Project accounting

ii. Professional services automation

iii. Service management

iv. Service subscriptions

  • Create documentation and white papers that will be used in case studies and training session for more junior members.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to his teams' knowledge and experiences.
  • Co-team with the Solutions Architect to produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements.
  • Produce a detailed functional design document to match the solution design specifications
  • Complete/oversee the custom development and quality assurance efforts for custom work
  • Able to meet or exceed agreed service level targets with the client in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) in terms of:

a. Incident Management

b. Problem Management

c. Service Requests

d. Change Management

  • Participate and lead, when needed, the project meetings with the customer
  • Manage development designs and projects to meet project and customer required time lines.
  • Communicate with client professionally either through phone or e-mail.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Finance/Accounting, Business or Technology related BA/BS
  • 4+ years MS Dynamics AX Finance implementation experience
  • Experience participating in requirements gathering process for IT systems
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication
  • Ability to lead people, teams and projects
  • Understanding of aspects in business management and strategic evaluation
  • Must be amenable working onsite on either morning or mid-shift

Nice to have but not required:

  • Has knowledge and experience in using Power Platform and/or other MS Dynamics products
