Job Description & Summary

A career in our Non Financial Services Audit practice, within External Audit services, will provide you with the opportunity to provide a range of Assurance services and business advice to a variety of clients from small, fast growing clients to large entities. Our clients are often well known brands and many have broad international reach. We focus on using the latest technology to reduce the level of manual testing ensuring you’ll focus on the most valuable areas of client service and on enhancing corporate governance and the reliability of our clients’ information.

Our team helps organisations navigate regulatory complexity while strengthening trust and transparency in their business. While many of the rules of business have changed, the fundamentals haven’t. You’ll work alongside senior members of the client’s management team in planning the audit process from beginning to end, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and fair presentation of our client’s information.

Your tasks

  • You carry out audits in the industrial sector mainly focused energy, utilities and resources (focus on commodity trading) and industrial products in Zug.
  • You are the responsible manager or senior manager for financial statement audits of large multinational companies who prepare financial statements in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • You audit consolidated financial statements prepared under IFRS and US GAAP.
  • You are responsible for the preparation of the audit file for Director and Partner reviews, as well as assisting in the presentation of the Audit findings to the Audit Committee or Board of Directors.
  • You develop new and extend existing relationships with our clients and actively support the client targeting and acquisition process.
  • You are in the driver seat of your own responsibility, flexibility and development.
  • You share your expertise and experience actively by teaching, coaching and mentoring others.
  • You help developing the market and targeting selected key clients.

Your profile

  • You have 8 to 10 years demonstrable international experience in a similar role at a Big 4 or an International Second Tier firm. Furthermore you are technically extremely strong with an excellent working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP. Experience with complex accounting matters (derivatives, complex acquisitions, IPO's, etc) is welcome.
  • You completed the CA / CPA qualification or equivalent – ideally with first time passes.
  • You have excellent English language skills. Other language skills are appreciated.
  • You have experience in managing a multi-location public or non-public company audit and are very effective in your day-to-day management of clients and in building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • You have the ability to demonstrate an understanding of commercial issues facing businesses in this industry including the management and delegation to junior staff.
  • You are a team player who has the ability to report upwards to Directors and Partners. Moreover, you have excellent verbal and written communications skills, which includes the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • You have a positive "can do" attitude to challenges and the agility to multitask effectively across competing priorities.
