Role Purpose

As part of the Mobile Access team of EU Network Strategy & Engineering, this role is aimed at ensuring the best E2E Performance of EU Mobile Networks and the benchmarking leadership, particularly focusing on:

  • Defining technical performance KPIs and determining achievable target thresholds to assess market leadership
  • Manage the development of the Netperform KPIs for Mobile, including the management of the requirements pipeline on behalf of EU Networks including design of the technical performance KPIs, as well as development and management of the related benchmarking framework
  • Managing the Group-scope Crowdsourcing data sources (e.g. Ookla, Tutela, Opensignal, etc.): scouting, vendor selection & management, definition/negotiation of testing methodology and KPIs
  • Manage the frameworks aimed at ensuring best Mobile E2E performance and benchmarking leadership, including the development of the related testing methodology
  • Execute analysis of the E2E performance of EU Mobile Networks, thus supporting E2E troubleshooting, Radio Optimization and recommendation for improvements, designed in collaboration with other NSE Verticals, ND, NO

Main Responsibilities

  • Development of mobile access network performance KPIs and supporting the definition of related targets
  • Drive the Netperform framework for technical features/KPIs development and design of the technical performance KPIs
  • Scouting, vendor selection & management, definition/negotiation of testing methodology and KPIs specific for the mobile network assessment based on Crowdsourcing solution
  • Execution of performance analysis, E2E troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and supporting Radio Optimization
  • Guarantee consolidation of common guidelines, methodology and best practices across Europe

Ideal Background

  • Degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or similar
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Quality/Engineering functions (Radio, Core, Services)
  • Motivated, results oriented, very good aptitude in working into a multicultural environment
  • Knowledge of radio access technologies (2G, 3G, 4G & 5G)
  • Knowledge of networking techniques and E2E performance techniques, with main reference to IP
  • Knowledge of main network KPIs and optimization techniques
  • Deep technical competency and experience across mobile services (KPIs, platforms, tools, processes)
  • Broad experience in Network Statistical analysis – business relevant correlation analysis
  • Deep understanding of customer surveys and benchmarking methods and a very good oriented focus on customer experience first
  • Strong knowledge of E2E services for both consumer and enterprise
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts comprehensively at an executive management level
