Role purpose:

The job holder will be part of an agile team that is designing and implementing Vodafone high volume and high impact web & mobile applications! Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to ensure adherence to design quality and coding standards 
• Design and implement automated tests for user and technical stories 
• Debug tests and provide corrective actions to software engineering 
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities 
• Coach and provide technical guidance to junior member of the QA Chapter 
• Contribute to the maintenance and creation of test automation frameworks for REST API, UI and Mobile Testing to facilitate development and maximise developer happiness 
• Build and maintain tooling for test development 
• Organize and implement Continuous Integration pipelines in Jenkins 
• Establish relationships with engineers to figure out their needs and feature requests 
• Identify areas of QA improvement and implement processes around it. 
• Manage the reporting procedure of the test results 

Core competencies, experience and knowledge:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related field 
• 5+ years of experience in software testing 
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in manual testing of Web, Mobile and Rest APIs 
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in automation of Web, Mobile (Android and iOS) using Selenium, Appium and BDD Framework. 
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in automation of Rest APIs 
• Experience in Continuous Integration process, version control, defect tracking and test management tools 
• A background in development and coding experience in at least one object-oriented programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java or JavaScript. 
• Solid knowledge of basic principles of Software Quality Assurance 
• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle 
• A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work.

• Strong written and verbal communications skills (English is a must), with the ability to distil difficult technical concepts into simple and actionable practices

• Experience working with agile methodologies / in agile teams strongly preferred
