Senior Project Manager / Engineer – Gas Infrastructure with focus on Hydrogen (m/f/d)

As Senior Project Manager / Engineer you will be responsible for project management and / or technical leadership in close cooperation with clients and our planning teams for projects with focus on hydrogen. Your location can be Copenhagen, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt or Madrid and can be partially remote through flexible, self-organized working.

Your role in our team

  • Collaborate in international multidisciplinary design and consulting teams
  • Participation in tendering, contracting and commercial management for individual projects
  • Contribution as a specialist to the development of innovative solutions
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentation of project results
  • Represent Arup in direct contact with clients and their stakeholders in the development of project deliverables
  • Ensure the discipline delivers safe, sustainable, cost effective, compliant and technically competent deliverables
  • Optional: Depending on interest, there may be an opportunity to support the management and development of the team within the company

Your ideal Profile

Nobody is perfect and all career paths are different. We look forward to receiving your application, even if you don't meet all of our requirements:

  • Engineering university degree in the field of chemistry, civil, mechanical or process engineering
  • 6+ years of professional experience in the design, development and execution of industrial gas infrastructure projects 
  • Solid practical knowledge of gas infrastructure projects such as conceptual design, FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning
  • Leading role in major national and international projects in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with production, transportation and storage of (especially green) hydrogen as well as development of hydrogen-based synthetic fuels or alternative end-uses
  • Strong knowledge of applicable local and international standards as well as legal and regulatory requirements
  • Travel flexibility for occasional projects and customer assignments in Germany and abroad
  • Fluent Danish and very good English skills (for other locations the local native language instead of Danish)
