Job Summary:
Reporting to the Event Safety Supervisor, the Crowd Control Specialist is a temporary part-time seasonal support role in the Office of School Safety and Security. The Crowd Control Specialist is a critical role that supports the District’s school community, sporting events and other special events for our students, parents and staff. This role is responsible for the overall safety and security of CPS Special events; a critical factor of which is establishing and maintaining a positive culture and climate. This role requires reliable workers who are able to defuse and de-escalate acts of misconduct and/or serious incidents.
The Crowd Control Specialist will be compensated for time worked on an hourly basis. The work schedule for this role will consist of 2 to 4 days per week, up to 20 hours weekly. Work will primarily be during the evenings and outdoors, and may include weekends.
Due to the part-time/temporary nature of this work, this is not a benefit-eligible position.
The pay rate is $15.40 per hour.
