Alkegen is seeking a General Manager who will be responsible for leading all aspects of the business including: P&L, Strategy, Sales & Marketing and Operations. This role will be directly responsible for approximately 40+ professional staff including global sales, new business development, product management and application engineering within the Industrial Filtration Business Unit. This is a cross-functional leadership role requiring collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, HR and Finance to drive short-term execution and long-term strategy to meet/exceed business plan commitments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Create Alignment and Accountability:

  • Strategic Development – Lead the development and deployment of the strategic plan for the business aligned to Alkegen’s overall business strategy, and then translate that strategic plan to actionable quarterly/yearly implementation plans. Incorporate a strong understanding of the external environment and competitors and actively scan for threats to the established business, as well as identify/capitalize on consumer trends and insights, to develop creative/breakthrough solutions.

Build Strategic Partnerships:

  • Commercial Leadership – Responsible for the management of Industrial Filtration Commercial Teams. Build a highly engaged organization through hiring, training, and development of leaders. Develop management and supervisory talents necessary to obtain short- and long-term goals by effectively directing, counseling, and training, aligned with an overall succession and manpower plan. Make required changes in talent to drive change and aggressive growth strategy.

Drive Profitable Growth:

  • Sales Execution and Growth – Direct the development of and participate in reviewing and approving short- and long-term sales plans and other operating objectives and profit plans. Ensure these plans are integrated into overall BU plan to achieve maximum profits, optimum yield on invested capital and increased earnings. Review and evaluate performance of operating businesses and their leaders to establish proper measures of performance. Counsel direct reports on execution of programs and provide direction for modification of plans and contingency planning when necessary. Provide effective problem analysis and resolution for BUs. Accomplish the budgetary expectations (sales, EBITDA) established for the BU and develop channel, market segmentation, and pricing strategy to drive growth.
  • M&A – In concert with the ISC Global Growth Leader and central corporate M&A team develop the acquisition funnel for the BU. Support and coordinate with the central corporate M&A team the due diligence activities for potential acquisitions. Ensure successful integration of completed acquisitions.
  • Results Driven – Produces growth results that exceed the developed Alkegen strategic objectives via a combination of planning and implementation. Has tenacity and drive to turn plans into action.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Industrial Sales & Marketing preferably in companies specializing in filtration design and manufacturing
  • Mix of international, regional, and/or global experience
  • Proven P&L Leadership and Financial Acumen
  • B.S. Degree, Engineering Preferred, MBA Preferred
