Senior Business Analyst

AXA XL are creating a new delivery model based on agile and a new vendor model to enable more efficient delivery of technology with the business fully embedded in what we deliver. This Digital Factory will first deliver new capabilities for Fusion Transformation and then will be rolled out to other capabilities within GT (Global Technology) and IDA (Innovation, Data & Analytics).

As an experienced Senior Business Analyst within the Digital Factory, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of digital solutions for our insurance workbench product. You will be responsible for driving business process digitalization and improvements along our Underwriting Customer Journey on a Salesforce platform. Applying scaled agile methodologies, design thinking principles, and BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) techniques to maximize business value contribution. Your expertise in UX (User Experience) and CX (Customer Experience) will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall user journey and customer satisfaction.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, business users, and subject matter experts to gather detailed business requirements related to the P&C insurance workbench and related processes.
  • Utilize your extensive knowledge PaaS products (e.g. Salesforce) to design and optimize business processes, custom objects, workflows, and automations to meet business needs.
  • Increase value contribution by using scaled agile methodologies such as SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) to ensure efficient and effective delivery of demand within customer journey.
  • Apply design thinking principles to understand user needs, pain points, and preferences, and translate them into innovative and user-friendly solutions.
  • Enhance user experience (UX) and customer experience (CX) through user-centric design, intuitive interfaces, and seamless interactions with the P&C insurance workbench.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive BPMN models to document and communicate complex business processes, ensuring a clear understanding among stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and supporting functions to implement changes, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption of new processes and tools.
  • Prepare detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and system documentation as required.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and apply them to continuously improve business processes and customer experiences.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst in highly governed industries, with a focus on PaaS (e.g. Salesforce) implementation and optimization.
  • Knowledge of scaled agile methodologies, SAFe certification is desirable.
  • Proficiency in using BPMN for process modelling and analysis.
  • Extensive experience in UX and CX design, with a track record of delivering user-friendly solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to tackle complex business challenges.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools and data visualization is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with agile tools and software, such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus
