Senior Software Developer (Angular, Java) for Defence Product

Responsibilities and tasks

Together with your team, you will be responsible for the continuous development, improvement, and maintenance of our product SitaWare Headquarters - a powerful and scalable C4I system (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, & Intelligence). It offers an accessible, easy-to-use, yet comprehensive toolset that can significantly increase operational flexibility and reduce deployment time while providing extensive interoperability capabilities.

Our product is currently deployed and running on a number of installations around the world with new releases being shipped every half year which includes new capabilities and other improvements.

Your everyday tasks will consist of:

  • Design and implement new features together with our Domain Experts and User Experience engineers;
  • Ensure the quality of the solution by doing peer programming and code review with your colleagues;
  • Optimize and solve complex problems in an existing codebase.

What should you bring

  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a relevant technical university;
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position working with Angular and/or Java Technologies (JEE WildFly or Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, JAX-RS, JUnit, Mockito);
  • We are looking for someone who shares our passion for programming, who is not afraid of complex problems and who is willing to learn and in return help others to grow and improve;

  • You are fluent in English and thrive in an international working environment.

It would be a plus:

  • Prior knowledge and experience with the use of SCRUM or Kanban;
  • Knowledge of some of the technologies that we use:
  • Scala
  • REST
  • Development Tools (JiraBitbucket, Wiki, Git, IntelliJ, Teamcity)
  • Web technologies: AngularJS, Bootstrap, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS3/SCSS, HTML5
  • We are also looking into future technologies such as Kafka/RabbitMQ, OSGI (karaf), DockerKubernetes.

Practical information

  • Hybrid setup: office and remote work.
  • Travel might be expected to our Headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark.
  • We work with security classified projects, therefore, as a Systematic employee, you must have a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years. Additionally, it is a requirement to obtain a security clearance when working in our Defence Business Unit. Please read more here.
