Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage in-place security solutions and identify, investigate and resolve incidents detected by those systems.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures as well as conducting vulnerability audits and assessments.
  • The IT Security Analyst is expected to be fully aware of the enterprise's security goals as established by its stated policies, procedures and guidelines and to actively work towards upholding those goals.
  • Participate, where applicable, in the respective areas of an enterprise Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan.
  • Keep current with emerging technologies by pursuing certifications in your area of expertise that support company strategic goals.
  • Awareness of security laws, regulations, guidance, policies and directives would be helpful
  • Work with the global IT organization to ensure our environment is fully patched and secured.
  • Identify IT security risks from technical and functional perspectives
  • Conduct technical analysis, make change control recommendations, and communicate with business customers.
  • Continual improvement of skills related to SIEM tools

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred but not required)
  • Security+, CISSP, CEH, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, GPEN, GCCF, CCNA, CCNP or related security certification (preferred but not required)

Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have 3-5 years operational experience with securing and monitoring multiple platforms and network configurations and implementations.
  • Broad knowledge of IT Security and general systems infrastructure experience
  • Experience with log correlation tools
  • Experience and technical knowledge of operating systems, networking, and security practices
  • Experience with various security management tools (Vulnerability Management, Configuration Management, SIEM, etc.)
  • Ability to analyze captured data to identify potential compromises to the Allegro networks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Positive attitude towards learning new and technically detailed platforms
  • Must be willing to attend training as needed and obtain/maintain required certifications
