Position Description

We are looking for creative, technical problem solvers to join our Intelligent Process Automation advisory practice that advises clients on the use of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Cognitive Technologies to achieve business outcomes such as cost reduction, capability enhancement and risk mitigation.

Our Automation consulting team in Bangalore interfaces with ISG teams in North America and Europe to design, develop and deploy Automation solutions for clients globally utilizing Automation software such as Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath and others. As a Lead Consultant / Consulting Manager on the Automation team, you will have the opportunity to deliver value to clients working as both an individual contributor and by directing the efforts of Senior Analysts on the team. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all technical aspects of Automation implementation projects and initiatives. Either as an individual contributor or managing a team of Senior Analyst, support the ISG project lead in the creation and ongoing refinement of an appropriately tailored Automation solution that provides the optimum platform for rapid and repeatable delivery of automated processes.
  • Develop and document Automation configuration best practices, configure new Automation processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.
  • Provide architecture guidance to the team working on Automation products/projects with strong focus on solution architecture, architecture artifacts, performance, scaling and security
  • Lead client interactions with various IT teams including, architecture, security, administration during pre-sales and implementation
  • Drive the strategic and tactical roll-out of the Automation solution to clients by creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT phases and supporting the Operational Teams during the UAT and rollout phases 
  • Own & develop Automation Body of Knowledge (BoK) and manage training and partner technology accreditation of Automation team members.
  • Depending on the needs of certain clients and projects, some client-facing work will be required and potentially travel to client sites in North America and Europe.

Attributes

  • Excellent understanding of current Robotic Process Automation (RPA) products and technology & upcoming trends in Automation technology landscape
  • A willingness and ability to use their existing knowledge to rapidly learn how to develop automated processes using Automation software – full training in Automation platforms will be provided.
  • Good understanding of various underlying technologies used in Automation such as Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Cognitive Computing, Machine Learning, Pattern Matching, Analytics etc.
  • The ability to methodically solve business and technical problems using innovative and well-planned approaches with well documented, supportable and extensible developments
  • Experience in leading architecture aspects of software development with strong emphasis on Object Oriented analysis and design (OOAD), layered application development, domain driven design, and architecture design patterns
  • Ability to facilitate effective interaction between clients, suppliers, and ISG colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including good client interaction skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience as well as produce clear and concise written documentation
  • Mentors junior developers and performs code reviews for quality control

Qualifications

  • An IT or Business Degree
  • 6-12 years of professional services experience preferably on automation and/or integration projects
  • Understands software development methodology, configuration management and lifecycle
  • Experience with the one or more of the following is preferred:
  • RPA software tools (UiPath a must)
  • Cognitive software tools
  • Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt or above)
  • C# and/or Java, html, css
  • Microsoft Technology (VB .NET, Windows, Internet Explorer, SQL Server, Web Services)
  • Scripting languages (e.g., python, perl, powershell, bash, vbs, etc.)
  • Experience with the one or more of the following is required:
  • RPA software tools (UiPath a must)
  • Cognitive software tools
  • C# and/or Java, html, css
  • Microsoft Technology (VB .NET, Windows, Internet Explorer, SQL Server, Web Services)
  • Scripting languages (e.g., python, perl, Powershell, bash, vbs, etc.)
  • Certification in UiPath is preferred:
